It is beyond reasonable doubt that mental health has become a universal threat and it requires attention without delay. All over the world, people of all ages are already becoming victims of stress, anxiety and depression resulting from workplace, educational and social pressures. This is painful, and most of it is caused by negative perceptions of mental illness that make people shy from seeking help and thus bear their sufferings. Most people in the society pays little or no attention to mental health because its primarily effects are felt only in the relationships, work and to some extent, the leisure quality of life. It is also important to look at mental health in schools and services as well as society, and not only focus on individuals. Very basic measures like making sure there is counseling available, running mental health campaigns, or even just talking about it, would make an impact.
